Description
A large number of stainings, especially in Cytology and Histology require a mounting medium to be observed on microscopes. Indeed, the samples will be definitively “mounted” between slide and coverslip, in order to allow microscopic observation without any risk of alteration of the samples.
The mounting medium must be miscible with the last solvent used in the staining, either water or a solvent such as Toluene / Xylene depending on the type of stain and nature of samples.
HistoRAL is a xylene based mounting medium. HistoRAL will preserve the shape, structure and the staining of the biological samples to conserve for many years.
HistoRAL has a quick drying and allows an immediate reading of the slides. A few drop of HistoRAL is enough to allow adhesion of coverslip on the slide to conserve.
HistoRAL has a low viscosity that allows to spread quickly and evenly without forming any air bubbles when mounting. Neutral and colourless, HistoRAL has a refractive index similar to glass. Soluble into xylene and other substitute, it is also possible to directly mount the slide after absolute ethanol
